About Colleen

My name is Colleen Pfeilschiefter, owner and photographic artist of Colleen Photographic Productions, established in 1993. I primarily photograph people - offering custom portraiture of maternity, babies, children, high school seniors and families. My goal is to provide artwork for your home and heirlooms for your family, with a variety of display options to fit any style and taste.

I have a degree in Commercial Photography, and experience working in a wide variety of situations, using refined lighting, posing, and expert finishing, resulting in dynamic portraits that make you look fantastic!

With a commitment to excellence, I am grateful to have received numerous awards for my work, including the prestigious Kodak Gallery Award, Fuji Masterpiece Award, and honors from Seattle Professional Photographers Association, Professional Photographers of Washington and Professional Photographers of America. I earned an Associate Fellow of Photography Degree from Professional Photographers of Washington in 2004.

Although technical skill and proper equipment is necessary to generate professional level photographs, creating works of art is not just about the equipment used. I love crafting beautiful images that capture emotion, tell a story, and reveal something about the subjects personality, so that a moment in time is remembered. My home based studio is conveniently located in Federal Way, just off I-5 & Highway 18, with all meetings by appointment only.
